2017 Henkel Award Winner Announced

The winner of the 2017 Henkel Award for Outstanding Graduate Research in Polymer Chemistry is John W. Colson. He earned the Ph.D. in 2015 at Cornell University with Prof. William Dichtel for preparation of two-dimensional covalent organic framework polymers interfaced with single layer graphene and application of the polymers with graphene sheets as materials for optoelectronic devices. 2017 Tess Award Winner Announced

Dr. Stuart Croll of the North Dakota State University, Department of Coatings and Polymeric Materials will receive the Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings for 2017. The announcement was made by the Officers and the Award Committee of the Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE) of the American Chemical Society.

Eastman Chemical Company will sponsor an award for research excellence by a student in applied polymer science in partnership with the American Chemical Society Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE).

The 2017 Eastman Chemical Student Award in Applied Polymer Science will be awarded to the author of the best research paper presented at the ACS 2017 fall meeting in Washington D.C.

PMSE Fellows

The PMSE Fellow Program was started in 2000 to honor PMSE Members for scientific and technological contributions to polymer material science and engineering. To date, 93 fellows have been inducted, with three new members for 2017.

2016 Eastman Student Applied Award Winner Announced

The PMSE Division is pleased to announce that Dr. Kenneth Mineart is the winner of the 2016 Eastman Chemical Student Award in Applied Polymer Science. This Award, sponsored by Eastman Chemical Company and administered by the PMSE Division, is given for the best paper presented at the Eastman Chemical Award Symposium as part of the PMSE program at the Fall 2016 National ACS Meeting in Philadelphia.
