The PMSE Fellow Program was started in 2000 to honor PMSE Members for scientific and technological contributions to polymer material science and engineering. To date, 93 fellows have been inducted, with three new members for 2017.
The three new members for 2017 are:
Matthew Becker - University of Akron
“For outstanding contributions to the field of polymer organic chemistry and the development of novel polymeric materials for regenerative medicine”

The PMSE Division is pleased to announce that Dr. Kenneth Mineart is the winner of the 2016 Eastman Chemical Student Award in Applied Polymer Science. This Award, sponsored by Eastman Chemical Company and administered by the PMSE Division, is given for the best paper presented at the Eastman Chemical Award Symposium as part of the PMSE program at the Fall 2016 National ACS Meeting in Philadelphia.

The 2017 Award for Cooperative Research in Polymer Science and Engineering from American Chemical Society Division of Polymeric Materials Science and Engineering is given to Dr. Edmund Elce and Dr. Paul A. Kohl. Zhenan Bao is the winner of the 2017 American Chemical Society Award in Applied Polymer Science.
Bao is a K.K. Lee Professor of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, and by courtesy, a Professor of Chemistry and Professor of Material Science and Engineering.
