2017 Young Investigator's Symposium

The 2017 PMSE Young Investigator’s Symposium has been chosen as a recipient of this year’s PMSE Division 2016 Innovative Project Grant (IPG). This symposium will be held at the 253rd ACS National Meeting and Exposition in April 2017. The objective of the Symposium is to create a signature event highlighting Young Investigators who have excelled in Materials Research within the first few years of their careers. The PMSE division is excited to be conducting the final competition for the 2016 Eastman Chemical Student Award in Applied Polymer Science. In this technical session, at the fall 2016 national meeting of the American Chemical Society in Philadelphia (Tuesday, August 23, 1:30 - 4:50pm, Independence Ballroom B, Sheraton Downtown), each finalist will deliver a technical presentation on their doctoral research. Call for Applications: 2016 PMSE Graduate Student Research Award

PMSE is pleased to announce a biannual award which provides $500.00 of to graduate student women or under-represented minority men (Black, Hispanic or Native American) to attend and present their research at the National ACS Meetings.

Deadline for receipt of application materials is July 15, 2016 for the 2016 ACS Meeting in Philadelphia. Please find more information on the award page.

Mark Soucek Named Winner of Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings

Dr. Mark Soucek of the University of Akron, Department of Polymer Engineering will receive the Roy W. Tess Award in Coatings for 2016.
