Understanding the sophisticated functionalities offered by objects and processes found in nature will guide the design of materials with desirable properties to meet challenging applications. Zwitterionic materials, inspired by cell membranes and proteins, are excellent examples of bioinspired materials and have emerged as a new class of biocompatible materials. ICBZM 2015 aims to capture the excitement of this emerging field.

Fluoropolymers are enabling materials that find applications in critical technologies from energy conversion, to microelectronics and photonics, to extreme environment applications to biomaterials. Traditional fluoropolymer technology is nearly 75 years old and it maintains a growth rate above the US GNP. In addition to perfluoropolymers, partially fluorinated polymers will continue to impact a wide range of technologies as better control of their unique optical, electronic, processing, extreme environment stability, and surface properties is achieved. This will be the 8th biannual FLUOROPOLYMER conference hosted by the ACS Division of Polymer Chemistry. FLUOROPOLYMER 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, and 2012 were tremendous successes with a sell-out attendance. For the first time, this will be a Gordon-style event. Poster submissions are highly encouraged!

A focus of the PMSE Division has been to develop avenues for the exchange of technical information and fosters interactions in materials science and engineering for the global chemistry community. With this goal in mind, PMSE has developed a database of polymeric science conferences from around the world.
This list can be found here, or through in the Meetings sub-menu under Other Conferences. Titles, date, location, and web links are provided for all meetings. On that page, links are provided to Google Docs and Online Office versions, submission deadlines are posted when available. The list was recently updated beyond an America-based focus to include all conferences from around the world.
Any organization which promotes the sharing of knowledge in the science or engineering of polymer materials is welcome to add additional conferences. Please send new conferences or any corrections to firstname.lastname@example.org. Conference listings will be updated near the 15th of each month.
